This is the courtyard where I stay when I'm in Yalalag. The mango tree is beautiful. The cinder blocks in the middle make up a wash basin. I've always liked the mottled shadows and still water in the various containers.

This is a Zapotec village in the mountains of Oaxaca. It is one of my favorite places on earth.
